November Wrap-Up

November was a hell of a month wasn’t it? At least for me; Nanowrimo, 3 jobs, looking for a new place to live, trying to read 10 books! I over estimate my abilities sometimes! In terms of bookish accomplishments I “won” Nanowrimo, and read 7 books. I count this as an accomplishment even though 1 of those “books” was a Ray Bradbury short, I think it evens out since 2 of the books were counted as 1. Anyway. Onwards and forwards!

I hauled a good but in November though a lot of those are gifts for my nephews for myself I snagged 9 books! This doesn’t include books I ordered in November and won’t get until December.

Island of The Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell: I had a fully illustrated hardcover of this growing up and I have no idea what became of it. I bit the bullet and snagged another!

Little Free Library scores:

The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen
A Hive for the Honeybee by Soinbhe Lally

The Book Escape Haul!

Ophelia by Lisa Klein
Fairytales by Hans Christian Andersen
Say You’re One of Them by Uwem Akpan
The Girl Who Chased Away Sorrow by Ann Turner
Eleanor: Crown Jewel of Aquitaine by Kristiana Gregory

In total I read 8 stories but 7 books in November. Alice was a twofer.

Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell 5/5
Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You by Peter Cameron 5/5
Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen 5/5
The City at the Center of Forever by James T. Witten 4/5
It’s Not Me, It’s You by Jon Richardson 3/5
Dark They Were and Golden Eyed by Ray Bradbury 5/5
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll 5/5

Lots of 5 stars! Mostly because 4/7 were some of my favorite rereads and Alias Hook was a touching retelling of Peter Pan.

How was your November?
